Overview

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to make homemade gelato ice cream or delicious granita - the delicious Sicilian semi-frozen dessert made from sugar, water and various flavorings - following all phases of preparation, from choosing the ingredients to the final presentation. And at the end you can enjoy the ice cream specialities you made with your own hands!

 

Duration: 90 minutes

Available: from Tuesday to Friday

Starting time: available from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm

Not available: Saturday and Sunday

Meeting point: at the Café Adamo, Via Marchesa Tedeschi, 17, 97015 Modica (RG), Sicily.

Attention: maximum 6 people actively involved.

Reservations must be made at least 10 business days in advance.

 

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellation possible up to 7 days prior to the start of the tour.
  • No refund is possible for cancellations made less than 7 days before the booked tour and for no shows.

The master pastry chef Antonello has been building his Caffè Adamo business for over a decade - and the secret to his success is his interpretation of the ancient traditional recipes.

A special treat indeed is that Antonello Adamo chooses to invite visitors into his workshop to share with them the art of creating homemade gelato ice cream and traditional Modica-style granita, the delicious Sicilian semi-frozen dessert made from sugar, water and various flavorings.

In this workshop, you will learn how to make homemade gelato ice cream or delicious granita, following all phases, from choosing the ingredients to the final presentation. You'll get to see the raw materials, you’ll experience the production processes, and the master ice-cream maker will pass some of his secrets on to you. And at the end you can enjoy the ice cream you made!
